flounderFishing from the Garden City Pier is a long lived tradition for locals and visitors alike. Each passing day the fish bite changes so check back frequently to see what's being caught today, tomorrow and what you should expect to catch during your visit.



Get Your Picture taken at the Tackle Shop with your big catch of the day or email us with your pictures and it will be posted!

The Tackle Shop at the Pier has all your fishing supplies:  Bait, tackle, rods and reels, beverages, snacks, coolers, and buckets.  Rental rods are available for use on the pier. 

Check out our selection of t-shirts (including the popular "Pieradise" t-shirts), headwear, beach toys, suntan lotion, sunglasses, and souvenirs.

No Saltwater Fishing License is required for fishing on the pier.

tackle shopA South Carolina Saltwater Recreational Fishing License is required for individuals fishing from the shore, but The Pier at Garden City is a licensed public fishing pier so persons fishing on the pier do not need a saltwater license. For more information visit SCDNR.

* When the Pier is open 24 hours for fishing, Daily Fishing Passes expire at 6:00 a.m. but Rental Rods must be turned in by midnight. Otherwise Daily Passes Expire & Rental Rods must be in at closing time.

Season Pass (March - December) per person $150
Rod Rental (plus deposit of $15 or Driver's License) $9
Rental Rods are for use on the Pier only.
